When I was little, one of my cousin used internet. She was calling her big brother through Skype who was in the UK, for Masters. She also used YouTube in front of us (me, my brother and my mother). But she never told us what she is using and how she was doing that stuff. In 2014 my mom got her first smart phone which was the copy of iPhone brought by her brother in Dubai. She was really happy to see the phone and was so excited. Later, on we were introduce to the internet. We got the password of one of our neighbor. Then, we slowly started knowing what was YouTube and Google was. But still all of those were unclear to us. After that I got my first tablet when I was in class 05, which was also brought one of my maternal uncle. I was so excited that I vomited at that time. I started knowing about play store and games.
After that we again switched to Nokia phone (Button) for about 1 year. During that time, my mom took a broken phone from one of my maternal aunty. She fixed the phone but couldn't use it longer than 6 month. In 2017, my mom again got her Lenovo Smart Mobile. And it was the time when we clearly got the idea about YouTube. My mum opened her Facebook account and that was my Mom's first and last Facebook account, that means which is his still running. In 2018, because our financial situation was bad my mom was trying her best to earn money so that she could support my father financially. At one point, she found a YouTube video while scrolling on the feed at night. She found that anyone can earn money through YouTube. The next day my mom came to us and told us that she is going to be a youtuber. We decided to open a YouTube channel and later we are uploaded our first YouTube video, which was actually terrible ;). After uploading some videos we found out that we need 10000 views in order to monetize our channel. But when we reached 10000 views we got shocked that actually the terms has been changed and now it's 4000 watch time and 1000 subscribers. We didn't give up and keep uploading videos on YouTube.
At one point, we got the monetization. We were so excited and my mom got her first salary from YouTube which was about $100 to $110. Then my mum decided to open Instagram account and also a Facebook account. And later she got her monetization on Facebook. And later we also created a website and now it is also monetization.
During this happy time, when I was in class 7 I decided to open a website by my own on the blogger. Because it is the only one platform which gives you free access to the domain and host. First day I started knowing what is a website how is work and what I need to open a website for free through YouTube. In the second day I decided to work until I finish making my website and guess what it was worth. About more than 9 hours it was about 3 o'clock a.m. my mum wake up and ask me," you still not done?"I reply in the negative and told her to give me some time. Lucky enough my mom didn't say anything more. And a successfully finished making a free website. In the third day I started searching about who makes website how to code. Eventually I got the result that software engineers are those who code. And later on I found out that computer Engineering is much more deeper than software engineering. And I can happily say that I am the person who got into the passion of computer science not just knowing the name but by step by step. From making a website to a start a passion in CS. While I upload any post on my website, my mom said that it is free you cannot get the monetization. But I didn't give up. When I was in class 9 I got the monetization and was so happy but the world wide lockdown was about to start and my father came from the village and took all of us with him through a rental car.
About 1 year I was in the village. And that was also a great experience for me because I have experienced every season of my country. And I was totally shut down from the internet. Because there is no wi-fi and I do not use mobile internet that much.
So, that was a journey of mine.
